You’ve finally decided to start going to the gym. But is your gym bag ready? What do you wear? What do you bring with you?
Well, no worries as I have partnered up with BabbleBoxx.com on behalf Simply Summer’s Eve to make it easier to get to the gym, with a checklist of what you should always have stashed in your bag.
Personal Care Items
If you are coming straight from work, you want to make sure that you have packed some personal care essentials, like deodorant, cleansing products to remove your makeup and prevent breakouts and of course for me, one must have item is Simply Sensitive Summer’s Eve Cleansing Cloths. I love Summer’s Eve cloths as they come in a soft pack that is ideal for my purse and on the go and of course, the individual packets, are perfect to toss in a gym bag.
Summer’s Eve, is the leader in feminine hygiene products, and their cleansing cloths are essential for the gym. Let’s face it, in real life women sweat from a workout and that sweat can sometimes cause a heat rash, yuk I know. A heat rash is not only uncomfortable it can also be unsightly. So, having a product that can help us to maintain a natural PH and wipe away that odor-causing bacteria is just what we women need after a hard workout. And a bonus is the lite fresh, clean scent, like Coconut Water, Mandarin Blossom, and Cucumber Lily. So not only do you feel fresh, you smell fresh too!
Many people are unaware that workout wear is an essential part of the workout, and when you wear the wrong attire, discomfort, and irritation may occur, hampering the exercise’s progress.
While you don't need to spend a fortune on your clothes, it is essential to have something set aside for working out. With sweating and the movement from exercising, you want to make sure that the clothes you are wearing are going to let your skin breath and more importantly one made of a wicking fabric to keep that sweat off you.
Items available to add to your workout wardrobe include shirts, shorts, pants, tank shirts and shoes all made to fit comfortably and fashioned from material that allows free airflow. Keep in mind functional pieces are relevant here, it's not a fashion show!
Sweating is healthy, but nobody wants to sit in your sweat or have it land on them. The gym I go to does provide a cleaner and paper towels to wipe down the equipment, but it is also important to wipe down yourself!
When you exercise, you lose water through sweat. This water needs to be replaced to help you maintain and get the best workout, so make sure that you pack your gym bag with some water!
To avoid the hangrys and from getting dizzy you want to make sure to pack a protein bar or drink. Plus, protein is key to losing weight! Our body burns more calories digesting protein than carbs. More importantly, protein also helps you to stay full longer.
